Birm Filters: Reduces dissolved iron and manganese compounds. Birm media is not consumed in the iron removal operation resulting in a low attrition loss. It has a wide temperature performance range and extremely high removal efficiency. The media does not require chemicals for regeneration and only periodic backwashing is required.
Activated Carbon Filters: Reduces chlorine and chloramines from municipal and industrial water supplies. The media is manufactured from select grades of coconut shell coal to produce a high-density, durable granular product capable of withstanding the abrasion and dynamics associated with repeated hydraulic transport, backwashing and mechanical handling. The media has exceptionally high internal surface area with optimum pore size for the adsorption of a broad range of low molecular weight organic contaminants and oxidizing agents like chlorine, chloramine and ozone.
Chemical Free Filters: Removes dissolved, precipitated and bacterial iron from water supply with no chemicals added to the water supply or the filter.
Greensand Filters: For the oxidation and removal of iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide. Provides filtration level to 30 micron. Requires a potassium permanganate, chlorine, or other strong oxidant injection assembly to assist oxidative capacity of the filter media.
Multi-Media Filters: For removal of sediment, dirt and other forms of suspended matter. Provides particle filtration down to 10 micron with increased service flow rate per square foot bed area over traditional sand media filters. Media has excellent chemical properties—high silica content and low soluble calcium, magnesium and iron compounds.
Next-Sand™ Filters: Remove suspended solids, ferric hydroxide (red water iron) or sediment down to 5 microns. Next-Sand™ has proven extremely effective and will provide double the service flow rates of Multi-Media or Sand Filters.
